GOP 'shithole' denier previously won White Supremacy nods by publicly praying for Obama’s death

In his bombastic, ego-driven frustration, Donald Trump showed off his white cape and cone-head by referring to nations with predominantly black residents as “shithole countries.” After a briefing last Thursday, and in hopes of sealing a bipartisan agreement on immigration, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), came out of the meeting stunned and disgusted as he revealed what spewed from the so-called president’s mouth.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to countries mentioned by the lawmakers.

Trump then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries such as Norway, whose prime minister he met with Wednesday. The president, according to a White House official, also suggested he would be open to more immigrants from Asian countries because he felt that they help the United States economically.

In addition, the president singled out Haiti, telling lawmakers that immigrants from that country must be left out of any deal, these people said.

“Why do we need more Haitians?” Trump said, according to people familiar with the meeting. “Take them out.”

Senator Durbin is sticking to his story and Republican Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) who was also in the meeting, basically concurred with Durbin—by not denying it. But GOP Senators David Purdue (R-GA) and Tim Cotton (R-ARK) say it just wasn’t so and/or they  just “don’t recall.” Perhaps they are hanging on to that pesky discrepancy about whether Trump used ”shithouse” and not “shithole.”On Sunday, White House reporter Josh Dawsey tweeted:

Well, if it was“house” instead of “hole,“ then Cotton and Perdue might technically be correct. But in real life, they’re still morally and ethically big fat fucking liars.

Some may a bit surprised that Cotton would stoop so low (and others not). But few would have reason to put this past David Perdue given his ongoing blustering romance with racism—especially towards former President Barack Obama.

At a gathering of Christian conservatives in June 2016, Perdue publicly encouraged his audience to pray for President Obama’s demise using biblical passage taken from Psalms 109:8 as a guide. Perdue jokes as he commits his own brand of blasphemy by using the Bible to wish a family, the Obama family  death and desolation. A petition was created demanding the U.S. Senate censure Perdue, but the GOP didn’t blink. It’s that Good Old Party mob mentality: We will defend our own to the end—and then we will eat them.

Psalms 109:8

  • Let his days be few, and let another take his office.
  • Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
  • Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
  • Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
  • Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
  • Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
  • Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

This ongoing display of blatant Republican racism mirrors Donald Trump and has worsened over the last two years. Perdue is simply another reminder for voters to never solely blame Donald Trump for the American destruction he creates daily—blame those who keep him in power. Blame the Republican Party whose House impeached Bill Clinton for lying about an affair, but they will do flips and in cases like Lindsey Graham—flip flops, to defend the most grotesque occupant in the Oval Office who has been caught in over 2,000 lies since taking office. He lies to the country and he lies to the world every.single.day.

This stain on history boils down to the GOP’s gluttonous desire for more of the same barbaric power they acquired via an illegitimate election. Trump overshadows much of the despicable actions by Republican lawmakers who continue to put themselves, their party, their greed and their hatred before the welfare of this nation, its people, and our planet.

Their grandkids will be so proud.
